gas tank with larger mounting gap

I need a gas tank with a wider mounting gap. The tank that came with my kit had brackets that were way too narrow so, I mounted it really jank.
Does anybody have any suggestions? The frame is about 8 cm at its widest.

You probably need a motorcycle tank, but you have to be creative to get it on the bike. Here's one I use, holds 4 litres.
