Is cork rubber or paper cardboard best for intakes?

Cereal box material, works every time.

a cereal box works good. I usually use leather, since I got plenty laying around, but if I'm restoring something to sell I'll use cork rubber more often than not. if possible I use whatever it originally came with but sometimes you've got an asbestos gasket to deal with and asbestos isn't easy to get your hands on these days.

ok i was gonna use permatex copper coat and some cork rubber to make some gaskets if thats not a horrible idea
