Gasket material

a cereal box works good. I usually use leather, since I got plenty laying around, but if I'm restoring something to sell I'll use cork rubber more often than not. if possible I use whatever it originally came with but sometimes you've got an asbestos gasket to deal with and asbestos isn't easy to get your hands on these days.

I'm working on a house with about a hundred feet of heating pipe with a good thick coat of asbestos on it, how many pounds would you like?
