Here's another gear ratio calculation utility. In some ways, it's similar to jpilot's gear ratio calculator, or an earlier excel spreadsheet that I did, but, it has several additional features.
For one, it supports up to 5 gear ratios in its calculation. As you add or delete ratios, the parent frame adjusts in size.
You can also switch back-forth between english (Inch/MPH) and metric (cm/KPH) units of measurement.
There's also a setting to switch back-forth between gear calculations and friction drive calcs.
Give it a whirl, and let me know if you uncover any problems.
Note that IF you are using a happy time engine, you'll need to include the internal gear reduction in your calculations. (20:82 per srdavo)
