GEBE Dooz and Not Dooz - Reveal Your Trix Bike-Wyz!!!!

Tanaka Gas Tank

Needs to be vertical. Yes, can run in any position, but vertical allows easy fill and more miles per fill.

Also needs gas line to bottom of tank. Horizontal tank will go dry too often and so on.

Two-cycles do not like to run out of gas. The longer pipe adds a few miles.

If engine is delivered with horizontal fuel tank, changing to vertical is not difficult. Seems about 20% were received that way at one time.

Thought this would be good to know for new GEBE owners.

If you have to switch Tanaka motor from horizontal to vertical, a longer fuel intake tube will be needed. See other comments on topic.

Kill Switch

In the above link to the kill switch pic, I forgot to mention that the little pig-tail on the strap is the connection to foil those who would start the motor or even try to steal the bike. Connecting the ground wire prevents ignition.

Starting on the Fly

I mostly pedal around town, but lately began going a bit with the engine, then shutting off and loosening the belt tensioner...

Last week it was warm enough that I got going and dropped the tentioner and pulled the start cord, while pedaling, and the T-33 began purring immediately.

I may be late to this practice, but it is convenient.
