The problem is Tanus still has rolling resistance even for an ebike pushed hub. There was an airless tire some years ago, the sidewall had a lattice work and you could see through the sidewall. Unfortunately they got bought up and then disappeared by another tire company. Another company has a rover spring in it, but you have to buy the tread and by the time you have installed it, the costs are high.
Painted the front fender with a 1K Clear Coat, should be pretty close to the frame and forks, not exact but enough. Extended cable parts to put in the right length front brake cable. Should have this stuff together by next week. Property taxes next month so the project will continue near end of November. Stay tuned.
Fender, Front Light, re-tightened the handlebars with new bolt and washers, much better. Other then the front brake cable which won't matter till the ebike rear hub motor kit comes in, the front for all intents and purposes overall is finished. Some smaller details still, the bulk of the front of this bike is about done. Will add a chain guard in gold with the logos on it and then clear coat the logos to protect and seal them long term.
Ya really can't give Tannus a review unless you've tried it
I've read reviews that said Tannus had rolling resistance but...
Once I tried Tannus myself I noticed no extra rolling resistance as long as keep the correct tire pressure
I had a Goat Head Thorn problem so Tannus was a must for me
My Ebike still goes the same top speed and battery range is the same
Once I tried em on my E Bike I bought some for my Whizzer M/B too
My Whizzer Motorbike still goes the same top speed and Tannus is also a run flat
Tannus improves the ride
I recommend Tannus Armour
BTW your Gold bike is coming along nicely she gonna be a show winner
I have considered these airless types of tires. Initially I want to get this Krate going, as I plan to learn the buildup from this. My next Krate will be either an Orange Krate or a Lemon Peeler.
