I will be super careful honing, and if I make a mistake I will immediately
install the sealed bearings, so I have an option. I'm purchasing a really
cool brake cylinder hone today from O'Rielly's. I'll look into the
molydisulphide idea. Thanks. I may have to ride the bike several
hours and check how well the oilite bushing is handling the load.
We'll see.

I found something that may be of help. I remember seeing a clutch for the gxh50 "kid kart" motor that could work. Appears to be #35 chain or smaller but sheesh the full kit with engine is over $800 just to have your kid put around. Anyway here's the clutch.

OK, JOB DONE!! The longer (25mm) oilite bushing worked
best with some washers for spacers. It was very easy
to hone the the clutch bell sprocket, almost impossble
to make a mistake because the material is so hard. I used
a small brake cylinder hone and finished it off with fine
sandpaper. Very nice fit, and the clutch moves freely,
very smooth. I will take some pictures to show all
the parts I used. I'm going to finish installing the
kit on a Riverside cruiser and test the trans, though
it looks very good now. The last unknown is how
long would the Oilite bushing function until it
would have to be re-impregnated with 30 wt
oil? I don't know. How would it compare to
the greased bronze bearing that came with
the kit?

Nothing but love in my heart for you on this project

Bronze, brass-zinc alloy, would have boiled the grease and failed in short order, you did good.

I think old Comet MiniBike clutches had Oilite bushings, and they would go quite a while before squawking.

Hi again. So one area that I think might be different on the "53cc Clone" vs Huasheng 142f is the valve rocker area. The pix I've seen of the 142f are different than what's in the "53cc Clone"..... Adjusting the clearances wasn't too fun either, because the rockers really want to move around, side to side, etc. It really felt like I was guessing the clearances, so I errored on the side of running them a little loose, so that I don't burn valves, etc. Other than that, the first few hours of running have been fine, engine oil still clean. (I will be changing it soon) If/When I get the valve cover off again, I will post pix.
