Here's a great video explaining how to deal with the trans bushing problem
on the chinese belt drives that come with the 4-strokes. Apparently, the
oilite bushing is made from a porous bronze that has to be lubricated
periodically, otherwise it will grab. At least, this gives some solution
for maintaining function of the trans designed with oilite bushings.
This kind of technology is new to me but good to know.

I've read that grease may not be the best lubricant for oilite bearings. A
light oil like 5-30w or 20w may be best to soak into the pours
in several hours or so.

The way Oil Impregnated Bronze Bushings are made at the factory is under a vacuum they suck the oil into the porous sintered bronze.

To re Impregnate the bushing with oil after machining or long term usage, Oil lite suggests to use 30w or 40W and to heat the oil to *100C or *212F and it will be re impregnated with oil in 15 mins then put the bushing in cool oil to cool off. Your done in 20 mins

Basically just put the Oil Lite Bushing in boiling oil for 10 to 15 mins and it's re impregnated with oil (y)

Geez, wouldn't you know I screwed that one up. I put hi-temp grease on it, thinking it was a good idea. Welp, gotta go back and fix that! I'm thinking it wouldn't be the worst idea to keep a few replacement bushings in the garage, just in case. Also, that's the first time I heard someone actually say the name of that drive. So... it's a "7G T-belt"... good to know.
