Hi everyone I am about to buy a motor. I'm just a poser now haha. I was wondering what the differences are between the 2 stroke motors (besides displacement). I noticed there are newer ones that are EPA approved and have catalitic converters and needle bearings. Does anyone know if the old style exhaust flows better then the cat ones? Price is also a big concern for me. I just want the most bang for my buck speed wise. Any info is greatly appreciated.

Hello and welcome to MBC. Lots to discuss and much info already posted and tucked safely away in the archives. One thing for sure is you have to sort through the sellers claims on what's the best and so on. Reputable dealers, many who are sponsors here, back up what they sell and that can mean a lot in building these things and getting best banfg for your buck.
