I thought I would share my technique for mounting a stock Grubbee engine to a bike frame. I use exhaust clamps from auto parts store; 3/4 metal stock and a roll of flashing from a hardware store. The idea being to increase the surface area that grips the frame. I get slightly over-sized exhaust clamps so I can wrap the flashing around the frame and create a pretty exact fit, giving a lot of protection to the frame. Note the use of spacers on the seat tube brackets to create the correct angle. I wasn't able to use the flashing on the lower bracket on the seat tube because of a water bottle eyelet.
