Some guys cut the pad material off automotive disc brake pads and shave it to fit

Get the green clutch pads on Amazon, they're about the best you can get right now I believe....

Not really. Green are ABS plastic. I tried them on my Phantom. They slip more and melt.

I have toyed with the idea of ordering sheets of clutch material and building a small CNC mill off of a 3d printer base to cut them to size.

The sheets can be had in a huge range of thicknesses, types, materials, etc.

I think the biggest issue would be cost. Spending several hundred dollars to have better clutch pads is a bit silly, and selling them for a profit may make them a bit pricey as well. Not outrageously so, but definitely not budget friendly.

You don't want the material too thick that it doesn't fit into the clutch.

Bench press and a couple of dyes will cut out the pads.

This stuff works so beautifully I wouldn't even consider making my own as long as this is still on the market and at such a low price...I never seem to be able to wear this stuff out either even after a few thousand miles.

Thickness is no issue, those sheets come in thicknesses from 5mm to 65mm.
