gx35 problems

My daughter just called and said that the cord on her GX 35 friction drive is pulled all the way out and will not recoil. Any ideas?

Ok, here is the BEST place to get Honda small engine parts (cheap on price and s&h).

Pulled the cord to far. These mini motors have a short cord, crisp little stokes do best.

It might not be broken, I have been able to disassemble recoil starter assemblys and reset the spring.

A piece of the plastic on the recoil housing broke off. $7 to replace it from Harrison (other placed wanted $25), but I bought the whole assembly for $21 because my cover had a crack.
