GX35 trail capable? Need to climb some steep stuff...

so just climbed this trail last weekend, the electric bike had a some difficulty with it. MAX grade was 42% on some sections.

i'm also planning on building another bike based on a honda gx35 engine. will also drive through the rear derailleur to an 11 to 36T cassette.

so my question is: suppose i geared appropriately for 45kph top speed on 11T, would i be able to climb this trail on 36T? sorry gas noob here. i'm also wondering if the centrifugal clutch would give me problems during extreme climbs?

If you are careful it MAY work.I've read here that it will destroy your drive system if not used gently.With proper gearing it will carry you, but you probably need tougher chain/sprokets.
