So I had install a half link to balance out my chain tension and the half link is a little too wide and getting caught in the sprocket housing on the motor..has anyone experienced/figured out how to remedy this..thank you fellow motor bikers

Sweet bike man, but you really should take those fenders off. They will inevitably fail and do tons of damage...

But as far as the half link goes, it's likely snagging a little on the pin. You can pull the coder pin out and just mushroom the end of the pin. It might not be ideal doing that, but it'll get you the clearance

Yes, Please take off the stock fenders, they WILL break off on you and this is one of the things that could happen to you and the bike...Read the story and see the pics...We don't want this to happen to you.

Sometimes you can't avoid them.
Very happily for me, I do avoid them as well...It's all about the height and angling of the motor and the distance and alignment between the drive sprocket and the rear sprocket as well as the 36 tooth size of that sprocket, etc. etc, etc...It's all mathematics, geometry, etc.
