Got a PhatMoto AT and want to pick up a good 3rd party headlight. The PhatMoto headlight looks good but at 99.00 I can't afford that right now and especially considering I don't know how well it works anyway.

What Id like is a decent simple rechargeable headlight and tail light to use for a while until I figure out a charging system and a better set up.

I was thinking this looked ok.

If anyone has other suggestions please let me know. Function is most important but style points could be considered as well.

I ordered a handlebar flashlight mount and used that for a few months. I had a decent rechargeable flashlight that I mounted in it.

I did this. I have. A 7" high/low beam headlight and running/brake light that I chopped a housing for a headlamp bulb. This Milwaukee 8ah battery gives me at least 4 trips to town and back. I should fully charge and let it go to see how long it lasts but have not yet. I've probably got about 500 miles on this setup so far. The only thing to watch is, the voltage regulator, when power is switched on, will continue to pull power from the battery even after it is "dead," so keeping on top of your charging is key. Cost was minimal for me, as I had most parts laying around and the rest was cheap from Amazon and oreillys. It's been effective and reliable.

Hey man good job on the welding they don't have to be "pretty" just functional.

I first welded on oxy-acetelene in freshman year in Highschool and was enrolled in metal shop all through. I got good but have only TIG welded a little aluminum and stainless.

I recommend gas welding if possible for beginners as if you can gas weld good you can basically do any welding good.

I'll try to get a decent TIG welder after a while. It should be really nice. Titanium, Nickel Alloy, Bronze is all on the table with TIG.

I just learned a couple years ago that if very good flame control is used Titanium can be welded with Oxy-Hydrogen and Aluminum with Oxy-Propane too.

My flame control leaves alot to be desired haha I'm a hot head. It has been a while since I gave it a shot tho. The welds are seamless from the outside haha. TIG is my favourite process for sheet metal as heat deformation is minimal. My machine is a cheap DC only for now but soon SOOOOOOON I will have what I desire.

This kit looks cool but looks like it's geared for bicycles <15mph and has a small battery. Even with my setup, it's still not daylight and I want more.
