Heavier clutch spring (minarelli build)

Lol it would take your mind off your waiting parts order.šŸ˜‚šŸ¤£ The pic of wheels you got, is there 3 full sets of wheels there?
Yes but 3 are fronts that are getting a Bendix coaster a comet coaster and a sturmey archer front drum 2 are the worksman front drum the rest are shamano 110s

Anybody find a heavier clutch spring for minarelli builds? I got my rdm clutch stage 2 finally except one problem..
They are out of clutch springs, supply issue again grr. This is the last component I need for assembly. Smolik performance are out of stock too. Smolik said in a post stock springs are about 250 lbs pressure and aftermarket are 390 lbs aproximately. Anyone find another avenue Im all ears. Thx a bunch.
Someone should tell Ethan to buy a spring tester because there is no way the stock spring is only 220-250 lbs, I use a valve spring from a Dodge 340 at 600lbs which are very easy to find and apply the same pressure as their three spring setup.

Glad to hear that someone like you have figured that out on the clutch spring, I figured a valve spring would work, but didnt know what vehicle to rob it from. My cousin runs 340's in his drag car, lol I'll have to go steal one from him. Thanks for the info on that 1.

600# seems heavy for those 380 is factory... Where do you get them?

600 lbs of spring pressure will destroy the clutch shaft on a stock china girl thats the reason for external spring and clutch system.

This is 500# it's a double for roller cams 600# would wash the lobes out of a 340 and not cheap... But if they fit I'm glad... But still waiting on RDM to pull something off... The LS motor valve spring is 400# little smaller.... ?? I've had 273 -360 Mopar in a bunch of stuff 66-82

If a guy can find something easier to obtain why not right? I am waiting as I have time to finish other aspects of my minarelli build, they will kill a stock china girl clutch, build it strong and build it once, reliability and low maintenance is important for some.
