This is 500# it's a double for roller cams 600# would wash the lobes out of a 340 and not cheap... But if they fit I'm glad... But still waiting on RDM to pull something off... The LS motor valve spring is 400# little smaller.... ?? I've had 273 -360 Mopar in a bunch of stuff 66-82
The older mechanical roller cams used 750 lbs pressure springs with the upper limit at 800lbs I don't know wtf your talking about but out Hellcat has 900 lb springs to be able to spin 7,200 rpm, wash out the lobes LOL!

600 lbs of spring pressure will destroy the clutch shaft on a stock china girl thats the reason for external spring and clutch system.
Have you done it? I have used these spring for over 6 years and The three spring setups put 600+ lbs of pressure on three sets of threads that are not even 6mm, LOL.

That's total BS, I went to an engine builders shop used his spring tester and found the 600 lb spring I wanted and he told me it was from a 340 Dodge (not stock) the stock spring was 390 lbs.
Most three spring setups are just over 600 lbs!
Is it a double spring for roller cam set-up... A 340 can be an animal especially the race only crate motors back in the day... A 383 is another one there not cheap there very rare and hard to come by... The 355 Mopar sb would be considered a 340 and have that kind of set up for turning 8000 rpm +

Yes... I like the rdm pressure plate... Doubling up the stock ones... I got 10 from the same place to try once I get that far.... The RDM is a bit of a thinker he uses shims behind the bearings 2 different ones a wide 202 bearing im not sure what it is a longer shaft washers on the pivot shaft housing and the sprocket sets out 1/8" or so than stock... What he was saying longer bucking bar also... I'm probably forgetting a few things also... It's not plug and play setup he has...
The only reason they will warp is from heat due to excessive slipping, many guys years ago slipped the clutch on purpose for long periods to get on the pipe when doing speed runs with 11-12 tooth output gears and 22-26 tooth gear on the wheel, and this is where that came from not normal use as again I use heavy spring and high output and have never had to touch a clutch plate!

These are 644 lbs without the inner probably making it around the 600 mark, there are all kinds of heavy valve springs out there, I find it best to go to a builders shop and root through the spares until you find what you need!
