Hello form St. Louis- Anyone in this town?

Hello All:
I've been exploring the possibility of motorizing a bike. Honestly I'm a little overwhelmed by the information that is here on this forum. I was considering a gear drive Staton, but I can't figure out if I need a new rim, wheel dished (what is a wheel dished?) or what?
Frustrated by:
Pre-purchase install information
Long lead times on delivery

I'll probably end with a friction drive because it looks like a pretty easy install. Are there any members in St. Louis that I might link up with. See how its done?

I have some welding equipment and hobby welding skills, but I"d be glad to help if someone needed some minor non critical welding on their bike.

hi ml; it seems you did not include your city in bio. that is exactly why you are having trouble finding neighbors. members can spin through members list and find home towns only if it is put in bio. mitch
