Hello everyone,

I'm now the proud owner of a motorised bicycle ....woohoo

So the first thing I did was search the net for a forum and here I am. The Information here is amazing. Lots to read.

Ive spent the last week putting it all together, just taking my time.
My bike is a simple cheap MTB with a 49cc kit and just before making this post, it was the first time I fired it up.
Theres a few things I still have to do -

Tidy wiring
Kill switch
Mud guards
Rear rack with battery and mains charger in a camera type bag for the 55w driving light
The chain is rubbing slightly on frame (have to fix that???)
Make a bracket for the muffler to the frame

Ive used the clutch lever as the throttle and have to get a double cable brake lever.

Thats about it although I'm sure Ive missed heaps.
Glad to be here and am so happy with my bike

regards Ozi....oh yeah another Aussie.

welcome ozi, which city are you in ?
its a big place as you know.

far out you've got more features that I'd have thought of.

I love that head-light, I so want one. 55W woohoo,
you're a car with that sorta power.

Nice and clean build looks very sturdy, whats that front mount from? is that a muffler clamp? I really need to think up a better front mount. You've got the same forks and front disc brake as me, they really handle the engine well, less vibration and more stopping power.

Hi Ozi. Welcome to MBc. I like your bike - neat build there. If you want to make a nice bracket for the exhaust you can get stailess steel offcut strips from a stainless steel workshop (usually free). About the same width as what came with you kit but they are much stronger and a bit thicker. Then drill holes and tighten with the same bolt and nut that came with the kit one in the same way as the thin little galv steel one that you should already have.

Thanks guys and good tip John. I'm working on the exhaust now.

I'll make a new post with some more mods I have done.

Ozi
