Help with powering my quad build

Bike bugs, tas Spitz and others were an import friction drive front wheel bike engine set ups out long before the kits that look like whizzer cycles were everywhere, imnsho they are very well thought out and built, the company also built little boat engines and I believe a tiny gas generator.
The exhaust starts as a chamber on the engine then ends with a muffler down by the front axle, they end up being very low volume,
The drive is a one way clutch so technically you can stop without lifting the drive wheel off the front tire,
The two I rode were not speed demons like Damians screamer but weren't slow either.
Now days nice ones are hard to find and they have abit of a cult following.
The one I sent Johnny was nicer than either that I worked with but both I putzed with ran very nice, they have a slide carb idea.

The tip I will offer is set the drive to tire tention just enough not too much.

I gotta do a few house chores but later I'll post a quad/tadpole update and pictures of the tadpole that I believe I will put one of those rear near axle mounted electric motors just for fun.

In Tina's defense the chores were mine.

This thing looks really bad in the pic but it just needs me working on it for a day and a few new parts, repaint.
My day passed 2014 at 89 him and I built this one around 87 88 he did the welding and brazing,
So it's got alot of fond memories,
It started with 16inch front wheels and 26 inch rear but my OCD caused me to keep doing modifications,
It runs a plastic boat seat,
5 speeds in rear 2 up front but I ended up taking the front derailer off and didnt get back to it,
I guess i haven't riden it in about 15 years,
15 years ago there weren't all the options to electic power it it now have.
But nothing much can happen until i do another work weekend and get a few spare dollars for parts it needs.

Checking in,
Life, work, not feeling great etc taking my time from hobbies,
I got everything squared away on the quad but jumped the gun on the seat, I was in a hurry to test ride and didnt bolt seat down test drive went fine came up my carport fell backwards on the ground didnt get hurt but my OCD jumped channels and I started on the tadpole,
I reworked the steering giving it ankermann, reworked the mounting of the front wheels and getting everything right to strip it down and paint it,
I'm thinking very seriously about putting an electric motor on it, rear mount, not sure the best safest place for the battery,
So I'm still kicking just not much to post.
