Hey new guy here!

It's only the mag, the key way is always in the right position.
Yup. There’s no way you could ever get it to 1 o clock facing the right way, and have it even look right . I don’t think …I know people have done it and say it backfires and runs terrible

I feel left out time to get some hate! Sure my avenger wicked fast but it didn't impress me stock BUT boy that phantom faker did it all perfectly(hard pulls, immediate stops, perfect, rode like cruiser, ate bumps easy, sounded great,no chain tensioners, perfectly balanced to lean hard in corners... she was SMOOTH! It was a 1 in a million bike. I let her go for 1k$ and her new owner loves her just the same. I miss that bike. It even kinda felt safe lol
That’s awesome. You guys are getting me all pumped

Update: followed advice. New super magneto and mag installed: consistent spark now. Decided to replace bofeng carb with new one, as I believe the jet needle was bent beyond repair. Also forgot to explain that the clutch was a nightmare. Wouldn’t stick out far enough on the non-drive side to get the flower nut on at all (took this apart as soon as I got it to replace clay clutch pads with upgraded white pads as a preventative maintenance)

As I found LATER, the clutch slide pin had been shipped to me Sheared Clean OFF). I don’t know if this engine was dropped, or the factory set the preload to spec and I just got a bad pin. Anyway. I installed new Timken clutch bearings and regreased the assembly. Installed the new clutch pin, and it all went right together with very little adjustments needed besides cable and a few turns on the flower nut.

Now waiting on new stock Bofeng. Keeping everything bone stock as you guys have explained how sensitive these motors are to ANYTNING not factory tested.

As soon as the carb comes, I’ll update. Getting excited. Thanks for the advice

Figures what’s wrong with it after upgrading and checking things again. Compression shows 52 psi. So next step is to leak down test it. Happy to have figured out the no start cause: sad to have to take that step. Could be a minute before I find it. Possible crank seals would be my guess as everything else is lookin good. But it might be base gaskets.
