Hi friends, fabricators and forum,

I am in the process of just beginning to build a modern classic 1911ish board racer (with a 80cc chinese powerplant) here in the San Francisco bay area. Though newbie with motorized bicycles, I ride an old bmw airhead which I keep going.

By joining this forum, hopefully you will give me the guidance I need to avoid painful or costly lessons. Look forward to sharing with you.

Thanks!

Ted

Hello Ted, glad you found us.

You can definitely find the guidance you need here. there's no doubt at all that reading these posts while waiting for my engine to arrive gave me hints and info that allowed me to avoid an error or two. the sort of thing that would have stopped me dead in my tracks.

So have fun and we'll see you around.

hey Ted -- welcome

yes - the good old BMW's -- always liked those
old guy out back had one for sale
it was a one lunger -- looked like the same jug -- just half of a 500cc -- think it was 250

anyway -- have fun as you ride your motor bike THING
