I am new here but not new to motorized bicycles, I have a Staton chain drive with the Subaru robin 4 stroke motor mounted on a mongoose bike. I bought the kit at least 8 years ago and am very happy with it. It has proven to be a very reliable steed. I had a speedometer on it for the first few years and it broke when it registered 4,000 miles or so but I never replaced it. I estimate the bike has 10,000 miles on it now and it still runs like new. Maintenance has amounted to a lot of oil changes, lots of brake pads, a few tires and a couple of seats.
I am now considering putting the power pack on a 3 wheeled bike.
