Hiding wires and cables in the frame

Is it safe to drill small holes in the frame. I think the bike would look better if I do this. Also I'm getting ready to have more wires next week because I'm putting calliper brakes on. I found a brake lever that will do both wheels. I put a home made boost bottle yesterday and WOW!! What a difference. The coaster brake won't cut the mustard.

Please tell me you know what an air leak feels like and it's safe if it's in the right place and done correctly, otherwise a hole can spread into a crack which will screw up the frame. Safety before looks.
