High Idle after hose intake

Thats the intake i cut in half to place the hose in between.
 
Finished. Just finished a 11 mile test ride. Zero problems. No air leaks. Slightly less power but its fine. Thank you guys for your help.

Try to get your carb as level as possible. It's hard to run full power if the fuel level is low, plus you don't want to run it lean.
 
Thank you. Working the bugs out now. Repositioning the carb is actually kicking my arse but, i will get it.

Maybe make a tab that screws on with the bowl, come off the bowl and make an "L" to attach to the frame. Kinda looks like a two tine pitch fork. Are you with me on what I'm saying?
 
Yes, i have neglected the bike for the last few days while i get my bike up and going. I think what you said is the plan.
