Home Brew FD setups

I'm into home builds more than other kits, I'll post some pictures soon of mine! Waiting for parts still and good weather! It's been fun while the weather was good.

Heres mine, costed me about 30$ all said and done.

Goes about 30mph on a good day. Basicly no vibrations after you get it going (spring takes up all of the unevenness)

I Used a door hinge, a door stopper spring, and a bunch of 90° supports, and a 1in socket i had laying around. And i made the front triangle a square (reason it looks bent, becuase it was 😆)

But its been trouble free!

Next step is going full crank engine and getting a third bearing support!

Pretty clean looking kit

True, but i tried to design it so i wouldn't need a 3rd bearing support (main reason the spring is on the right side, so it distributes the weight more evenly)

Im just going to keep it stock as i really like the gas mileage (i carry a mountain dew bottle with fuel in it, holds about 2 tank fills, and i can go all day on it and only use half!) And if i can find another weedeater, ill do some magic with it ;) that would be fun!

Thanks for the suggestions though!

If it's working and your having fun, then you have accomplished the 100+ years in mopeding pioneering.

Most of the satisfaction of home builds IS doing it your self and having it work!

Ride safe!

The link to how you made the sprocket. And what size chain ? And what you use for back sprocket
