Staton offers this engine with some sort of clutch. Do I need this ? Has anyone used this engine with a reguler friction drive mount and gotten good results ?
Thanks,
Jim

If you dont have a clutch you have to somehow physically disengage the roller from the tire in order to stop (or start for that matter).I think Dimension Edge has something like that, pretty clunky.

Even the friction drives use clutches. You can't have the drive wheel spinning and lower it onto a stationary wheel. You will dig a hole in the tire over time...possibly a very short time.

If you are asking about a manual clutch, I have not not seen one for the GXH50.
