How Do I Install This 8-Speed Hub?

I have a 7-speed bicycle.

It’s a freewheel hub, not a cassette, which SHOULD work well for my bike.

Here’s why I think the freewheel hub won’t work:

I’m installing a 212cc engine.

I’m going to use a shift kit.

I’m running the engine power through the bottom bracket.

I’m thinking that the thin rear axle and its ball bearings will fail.

It also has a skinny 3/32” chain.

I have a Sturmey-Archer 8-speed hub(IGH), laced with 14g spokes on a 26” wheel.

It uses a stronger 1/2” x 1/8” chain.

My big question is......

how hard is it to install the IGH onto my bike?

I have the gearing math figured out thru the 8-speeds, and which sprockets to use.

The bike is in the shed.
The internal gear hub(IGH) is in storage.

I'm missing a few pieces of the hub, like the fulcrum, lever, washers, cable and shifter.

I don't even know what little parts I need, so I'll check the catalog/manual.

I'm ordering the shifter.
Maybe the cable for the 7-speed will fit the IGH.

Some parts are outrageous, like the nuts, washer, etc.

The plastic sleeves are $7 each on ebay, and I need five of them.
They look like hardware anchors you buy for less than 25 cents.

The IGH has 14g spokes.

So I'll try to lace it up with 11g, as well as the front wheel.

I'll be using a 25t 1/2 x 1/8 rear sprocket and BMX chain.

If you need parts check out Modernbike.com they carry a lot of IGH parts, and customer service is top notch, got 3 bikes myself that run IGH and I always call Andy up whenever I need something.
