I recently bought a weed eater motor and it’s a single speed 26 cc 2 stroke motor and I’m planing on putting it on my bike that’s about 25kg how fast do you reckon it would go, thanks.

Depends on gearing. You have about 1hp there, not very good for any torque that might be needed, weight/hills.

1hp, aka 748 watts. Maybe 15mph - 20mph-ish. Hopefully it revs to the moon to make up for the complete lack of torque as Darwin there said. It will need the rpms to be able to make up for the very short (high numerically) gear reduction it will need to move the weight of the bike.

Most weed eater engines can comfortably do 7000 rpm. So this means to do a speed of 15-20 mph on 26" wheels you'll need a reduction of 36\1 (15 mph) to 27\1 (20 mph). The 15 mph is probably the more realistic goal.

What size clutch does it have? If its the same as a gx25 you could bolt right up to a staton friction kit and get 28:1 reduction with a .93 roller.

Anyway you do end up mounting it, it is going to be a helper engine. Mostly riding the bike like normal with it helping up hills and to maintain speed.

I wish the OP luck in his endeavor. After having a couple of 35cc kits I just wasn't happy with the hp of those. I won't do another. 49/50cc is the sweet spot for being legal and performance. Can't imagine doing it with a 20cc+ motor. 4 stroke talkin, some are very happy with 2 strokes like a 43cc Zenoah.

Pedal assist up to 10 mph then let the engine take over It should be able to cruise you along at 25 mph but don't expect it to climb hills
