I have a 100cc bicycle engine on my bike and the first time I put the chain on it was too tight and snapped so when I put it back on instead of putting one link on I put two but then it was too lose and snapped again. Can someone please help my to why this happened.

How do you snap a 415 chain? Those are heavy duty. There must be something really wrong with your setup. Yes, post pictures.

The solution is getting a #41 chain and forgetting about it, these cheap chains are just, cheap, best to get something better.

Protaper PT415MX chains
Nice! Dennis Kirk has these for $33. A little spendy, but really nice ;-)

Pro Taper 415 Gold Series MX Chain - PT415MX-120

• Lightweight, ultra high-strength chromoly construction
• Premium Gold Series MX chain
• Designed for 50cc applications
• 4,945 lbs. tensile strength

Also very nice. Perhaps overkill?

HRU Racing Chain Series are designed strictly for RACING ONLY, NOT FOR STREET USE.
  • Tensile Strength: 4,800 lbs
    • Max CC Rating: 250cc Race
    • MAX Horsepower: 60 HP
    • Weight: 1.52 lbs
Always over kill on these, lol. Makes sure it don't blow out while you're out having fun. Plus the rk chain barely even stretches with the low power we put through them.
