Send your gold to 3063 CR 1742 Holly Pond. I'll bury it in a coffee can, & post a GPS map.

I was gonna say I wouldn't join any club that would have me as a member, but the sorority idea is intrigueging. (sic)

Toasting in the Rockies at 10 am, I peeled the label for posterity.

The Coloradans can be in charge of supplying the official beer.

you dont have to be IN the organization to participate in the events... at least i would think that this is the case ... esp. if the events were in and on public places .... but generally people who hang around the barber shop long enough get their hair cut so hanger arounds would probably eventually join...

what i would like to say though ... is having a well drawn up constitution and guidelines as above (great job btw) is extremely helpful if the group intended to ever start wanting to use public land w/out having to pay for it for events and other things of that nature including fund raisers and/or charitable events (tax write offs etc.) ... it may not seem important now but its real good to have it .. it bugs me when i run into those kind of hang ups when trying to organize things ...

yup!

playing by the rules isn't usually a strong point on any of our resumes, but i'm learning that playing by the existing rules will keep us at a safe level of compromise, and so far it's proven itself in the warm reception we've gotten, both at the rally and at the track.

so, we work with what we have to start with, keep the commercialism out of our rides (to avoid permits & fees), standardize on safety (helmets & lights at all MBc-affiliated rides, please!) and other aspects of "image"...

in other words, being cool at rallies should be JOB-ONE...i wanna be legally riding 10 years from now, and i'm willing to do what it takes to make sure that happens.

Holy Parlimentary Procedure Batman!

I second the motion...oh wait...am I out of order? Just kidding.

We just kind of formed our own chapter of the Freak Bike Militia. I belong to Twisted Spokes Freak Bike Militia Pacific Northwest Chapter.

Maybe we should do the same kind of thing here.

Dan

LoL this looks like a lot of work! What's the Freak Bike Militia?

Huckersteve I keep trying to get down to Sports X and meet you. Are you there more than Fri - Sat yet? I work by Fisherman's Terminal. I'll try to remember this Fri if your gonna be there.

I like the idea. Nice job loco...**** you put a lot of work into that post.
If this moves forward, I'll come up with a logo and we can have it made into a patch
Too bad I'm in Boston. Sounds like you all have quite the crew down there in AZ.

Great work Loco! I think one thing that is missing is organizing a local chapter. You have put a great national orginization concept down. I would like to throw out an idea that local groups across the country could affiliate with MBRCI as a way to organize rides, charity drives, or just to get to know other people who enjoy biking, without being burdened with international duties.

Hello group. I see only one problem loco with your well planned and legalease. You may not have fully taken into account is that most people at least the ones I have met are pretty free spirited and non conformists. And at least to me a bunch of hierarchy and politics are the last thing we want for this to be about. I know I'm new and may not understand all of what you hope to gain by orginizing a national club. But rules bottom line take all the fun out of stuff. As for the orginization of a club I like it. I am actually trying to form a club in tulsa to do some rides races but plan on keepin it casual more like a motorcycle gang but with pedals and less violence. So if any one near tulsa would like to ride race or just show off contact me and I will try to respond quickly thnks and loco I mean no disrespect just contructive critisism.
