how to stay warm?

a windshield? thats genious. its warming up in Arizona but with all the puddles and wet weather i am back in the cage for now.

It may not have been here that I saw the homemade windshield. Seems like someone built one for a Honda scooter or a moped out of 1/8" Lexan that they bought from Lowe's or Home Depot. Looked very simple to build, if I remember correctly. If anyone has time take a look on some of the moped or scooter forums.

Even that wouldn't help here today. Along with a high of about 2 (F), the wind was 30mph, with gusts of 40. I don't want to know what the wind chill was. I gotta go pull the battery out of the car so it will be warm and ready in the morning.

I wonder if anyone has incorpoated hand warmers into their bike grips. As motorcycles and snowmobiles have that add-on option. Good idea? or not.

If it's below freezing and there's even the slightest chance there's ice around, i won't ride. People get totally stupid here in Houston when there's ice on the road and don't know how to drive on it. Luckily that doesn't happen very often.
