[How-To] Ungovern HuaSheng 142f

I'm working on ungoverning my HS 142f and since I haven't seen any "how-to" post which I'll find useful, here is mine, for now "work in progress". I'll keep updating this first post as I can invest hours on this.

Special tools needed:
- Balancer Puller (to pull the flywheel, learned kind of the hard way...) (Looks like you can borrow it from AutoZone) (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LZLUJJP/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)

Pieces needed (thanks to Jakeguy24 on this post https://motoredbikes.com/threads/huasheng-142f-to-144f-upgrade-questions.53246/page-2 ):
- Honda or old HuaSheng FlyWheel (Honda part number is flywheel is 31110-ZM7-004) (got from ebay ~$20)
- Honda or old HuaSheng CDI (Honda part number for the Honda CDI is 30500-ZM7-014) (got from ebay ~$10)

Steps:

- Remove plastic cover

- Remove the nut and the metal part of the rope puller

- Checking the differences, as expected, some degrees difference on the shaft hole between flywheels:

- Trying to pull the Flywheel with a "home made" puller (Spoiler alert: went wrong)

End of part 1, I'm now waiting for the puller to be delivered and then I'll keep updating.

EDIT 1 (May 1): I was able to pull out the Flywheel with the puller:

EDIT 2 (May 3):
- Motor is assembled back:

*** Gap between flywheel and CDI it's a little bit to big, the closer the better, even that it worked just fine like this, I ended up moving the CDI closer to the magnet

When I pull the rope, the rpms go up on the tach meter, so ready for a real world test outside, probably tomorrow.

UPDATE 3 (May 5):
I tested it yesterday and it worked, I had to re-adjust the mix screw, but after few tries it was up and running and it reaches 9k rpm with no load (back wheel on the air).

Feel free to add comments to improve this How-To and I'll take care of adding them to the right step here on the first post.

I forgot to mention the puller, I just borrowed one from autozone.
No problem, you helped quite enough!

I just updated the post, I was able to pull the flywheel :) I may have more time today to work on it.
 
Hell yeah bro!!! Make sure you keep your valves tightened to spec, that affects max rpm big time if you let it get out of tolerance.

Thanks for the tip, I already did the valves las year :)
 
In the pic of final assembly before cover goes on, the gap between the cdi p/u coil end and the flywheel magnet looks huge. I;m used to using a piece of paper [thick] to space it out. Was always told the closer you can get it the better spark you'll have.

Absolutely right, I had to move it when testing, it's just that I have to get the time to update the first post.
