How to wire electric start 2 stroke 49cc

Ok if that's just a single wire with a ring terminal, then it's got to be the starter power, it's made to use a with a starter solenoid.

It has a metal ring at the end

The picture shows two wires (black and red). Are these supposed to go to the kill switch?

Yes, those wired to my kill switch, and that worked.

Yes black & red are the kill wires, if you get running again & touch black & wires together it should kill the engine.

You wouldn't have to use a starter solenoid if you buy a higher rated push button starter switch.

Not even, very poorly packaged in a big box with no bubble wrap or foam

Well, the wire with the lug goes through the starter switch or solenoid to the positive terminal of a battery. Ground the negative terminal of the battery to the engine body or frame of the bike. I'm guessing 12 volts? A small gel-cell battery (like on a lawn mower) should work.
