Btw welcome to the forum. Bunch of good people here. When you had engine running with the pull start, how did it run for you?

Hey, I just wired it up. It cranked for like 10 seconds and then it started! Now it starts first pull. Any idea why that happened? also, thanks for the help everyone!

Seems like ya fixed a bad connection and now it works

Its going fast even when im not applying the throttle. It can be stopped with the brakes but its still a problem. Does anyone know whats going on?

Turn the Idle down
Check for a sticking throttle cable.

Maybe the engine is racing because of an intake air leak

How do i turn down the idle

Take air cleaner cover off & take a pic of carburetor so we can see what carb you are dealing with. We like pictures, plus a picture tells a story of a thousand words.

When engine is racing/throttle high, what happens if you put choke on, does engine die, or does rpm increase or decrease?
