How tough are these fuel tanks?

I don't mean the studs. I just mean the tank itself. Today I had to tighten the bolts and the thing shifted. I noticed a big spot where the paint has been scratched off and it got me thinking. Do these tanks break easy? And if so, can I find new ones?

Tough enough. The main issue most people face with these tanks is the studs leaking. There are many replacements online. The default one is 1.5L. Common sizes are 1.5L and 3L. I've seen 4L in the same shape and some customized 5L.
