I reckon for the price of all that you can bulletproof your two stroke that you already have. :)
It had to be said. Lol. ;)

Also 80 miles isn't extremely long distance anyway. I'll pedal that. :p

Rag joints are fine if you take the time to install it properly and toss the Chinese hardware.

Awesome! And thanks, How would I bullet proof it and what should I bring on the trip? Also how long would it take for 80 miles

That's my setup I bought the engine like 2 years ago and just got gasbike's transmission and mount you also need the manifold and pipe from gasbike while your'e at it pick up some exhaust wrap it will help alot trust me. My bike is pretty sluggish you have to pedal while going up a hill pretty much the whole way because of the governor it just doesn't rev like it should. It will go in the low 30's. I'd advise to use an American made clutch from gopowersports.com instead of the china one. Also get a #415 from Regina chain >made in italy its on ebay. I'm building a big bore 2 stroke right now 48mm bore x 41mm stroke putting japanese bearings in and upgrading the hardware. Although you might want to go with something more reliable than the $99 hf engine if your'e traveling 80 mi. A honda engine would be good. How fast do you want to go?
