Today my baffle flew out and I rode it like that for a couple of miles. It was 10-20% faster. I would go 29-30mph up huge hills with no pedaling and it was about 24-25 with baffle in. I have heard it is bad for the engine to do this though.
Today I cut my baffle in half (no more crimp) and it seemed to improve top speed about 10% over full baffle. Noise was loud, but not unbearable.
With no baffle it seemed like I had the most power, but everyone with a block radius of me was turning to see what that insanely loud noise was. If a cop saw me surely I would be pulled over.
What else can be done to improve flow/top speed while keeping it to tolerable noise levels? I am on a budget... I can't buy a $100 tuned pipe.
