Recently I cracked open an unused practically brand new engine to see why it sounded like something broke inside yet the engine continued to run. I found what I believe to be the remains of a governor gear as it was full of plastic gear teeth and shards. I cleaned it up and removed the debris, core of the governor and it's washer but I ended up accidentally dropping the valve rods and what I think is the timing gear out of the case.

I can't figure out how to put these back in and information on this particular engine is hard to find. Can anyone provide pictures of it correctly assembled so I can get this thing back in one piece and see if it can still run?

Or tell me if it's a waste of time at least.. here's a picture of what I got.

Hi- I tried to go off of a rather bad quality diagram but will this help? It looks like the cam gear and the two followers are assembled onto the side cover and then that goes back onto the engine. How you're supposed to line the cam and crank gears- I don't know. I don't have an engine apart to look at.
