i dont want to risk snapping spokes mid ride, so i want to get a hub adapter, but my hub rod is only .7 inches, would a 1 inch adapter work without misaligning the sprocket?

Did you measure that? It's most likely 3/4" or 1". You can get a spacer for the adapter to resize the hub. It could slip on the hub and cause trouble. It's a bit more challenging to pin a spacer and hub adapter.

Got a picture of your hub?

Unfortunately you have an unusual hub that does not lend itself to what you want. If you're willing to relace your wheel here's an option for $22. The other nice thing is this hub has sealed ball bearings. Use some LocTite when you screw on the correct adapter. Make sure the rotation of the sprocket tries to tighten the adapter. If it tries to losen it you'll need to drill a hole through the adapter and into the hub in which you can hammer a roll pin. This will lockit in place forever.

gotcha, i might end up getting a 1 inch hub adapter and drilling/tapping holes to add set screws and try it that way, its already close to the right size so i could also make spacers, i just wanted to see if there were any that worked on slimmer shafts or spacers already for them
