Well, I bought a welder for various reasons (mostly just to learn for my mechanical class) but I fixed up the bike! Hers are some of my first welds (not very good but it'll be fine) 20181115_175616.jpg

No joke i just did this today i put the welds underneath instead and grinned it up a little to clean it up lol

i think they been making faulty clutch levers lately my lever had the little splines in it they stripped right out after 10 pulls

Mine was welded in place when I tried to replace mine (before I had the welder) but the actual lever had broke at the welded part. So I had to weld it back.

are you using gas or flux core? im assuming flux core? the weld i did is gas

I have access to a TIG welder, I'm a little out of practice, but I did try welding a little extra material on a 10 tooth output sprocket to try and make them not out of round. It seems to have worked some, as after filing it down the chain is tightening and loosening less. Someday, perfection.

My neighbor started using stainless wire with his Tig really some nice welds, he has been doing it on my bike, not even going to grind them........Curt
