Hi all.
So after a long wait for parts I'm finally about 70% ready to start my build.
I have almost everything.
At this piont I'm missing a good pipe, good forks and my frames in the powder coat shop.
I'm going to start the build and hopefully those things will be coming as I go.
I've never built a hybrid so please feel free to give me input of what I'm doing wrong, what I could do better or any creative idea.
Any suggestions on forks will be appreciated right now so I could order a pair.

First on the agenda is to brake down my cdh power long rod, 40mm stroke.
I was pretty impressed with the quality of this engine. The only problem was during brakedown I found little metal shavings in the case. Wich is prob a big deal if your not opening it up.
I gutted it put the cases back together and case matched to the spacer.
Polished the inside of the case best I could. Kinda hard to get around the bearing housing, but I figured any bit helps.
Took me about 4 hours

So after posting my build on fb I found out that I don't want the inside of the case polished. It should be ruff like the intake to help atomize fuel. So I hit it with a little 220 grit papper. Makes sense know that I think about it
I didn't realize that I only had double sided metal sealed bearings 2026-zz, so I have to order some 2026-z. Waiting game again..
I trued and balanced the crank to a 55% balance factor.
I believe the only thing left to do to the crank and case is make them both so the bearings are a slip fit. Gonna have to wait for the bearings to do that tho. Maybe my local granger will stock them so I don't have to wait.
As always input is welcomed

Take 1 side shield off the bearing, Problem solved. I thought the case needed to be rough like the intake.

I was following your pics, do you have your wrist pin bearing laying inside your piston? I see the pin but not the bearing & circlips. Also like I said them shields just snap in place, you can remove one side so the bearing gets oil from fuel mix.

Ok, I didn't know I can take one side off and not have any slop. I will try today.
Yea the case needs to be rough. I mistakenly polished it, but roughed it back up after getting some Intel from people.
Thanks for the tip. I'll give it a go

Maybe that the wrong pic, but yea I got clips ,pin, bearing and rings.
The pic was hard to see in the thumbnail

Yeah they make a couple different side shields, some are rubber coated steel & the other type is like yours with the metal shields. The side shields are there to keep dirt & moisture out & grease in them. But in our case with the engine we want to oil the inside of bearing with our fuel mix.
