You need a proportioning valve to split the pressure, it can give more for the front than the rear, or vice-versa. On a bike with such a short span to the front, you're probably safe without it. Most of the pressure is going to go to the front first.

When you bleed the system, start with the rear caliper first.

Yeah a 60/40 proportioning split would be ok, 60%rear 40% front, I know they make adjustable ones. Not sure what they cost anymore thou.
