Hydraulic Brakes

Hey guys I am having a problem with my rear hydraulic brakes. The bike is the 2023 phatmoto all terrain. When I push the lever for the rear brakes there is no resistance at all and it bottoms out. I can see the pistons compressing just a little bit. It used to brake but everytime I would take it out it would get progressively worse until they didn’t work at all. Having no experience with these kinds of brakes I am reaching out to y’all to see if y’all have any suggestions on where to look first. Thank you!

More than likely, another "left out in the elements" problem.

Is this the hydraulic brake system where you fill up a resevoir with brake fluid or is it cable pull hydraulic disk calipers???

Pictures of the bike in its present condition would help an awful lot to see exactly what we are working with here.

Have you checked the fluid in the resevoir for water contamination because it is left out in the elements???

Flush and use new fluid / mineral oil

I don’t see one but could I bleed air through the fill port?

There has to be a bleed screw on your brakes, or else it won't work. Fill port at the bottom, bleed screw at the top.

Sounds like air got in somewhere. I agree with a bleed/flush. If i comes back after that, you likely have a small leak somewhere.
