You won't be needing to pedal at all, with a gx160 on a bike geared for 25mph max. I never need to pedal my heavy phatmoto with its 79cc lifan. Never.

okay, thanks. the only challenge now is finding a bike that will fit the engine. sadly the 79cc engine would be too small as I have some steep hills to climb up and I can't find another lifan engine in the uk in between 2.5 horsepower and 6 horsepower so 6.5 horsepower it is

79cc is plenty to go up any hill. I have one on a mini chopper and she rips. I put a TAV on it to get the gearing low, I never really tested the top end but for sure 30mph.

I don't have room for a torque converter though so I went with more horsepower so I can use a centrifugal clutch
