I'm honestly trying to quickly make sure this is on right but I don't have an arrow or a mark on my piston so I just guessed. I'm not sure but I think the windows go to the back am I right.. Either way. My thought was if I put it in the wrong way the rings and pins would cause me problems when it heats up and it could be a real bad thing but I'm not sure I'm just using some logic. Does anybody know which way the piston needs to face when you have no marker to show.??

The windows on the piston face the intake port, you will also notice that both ring pins are also on that same side as well.
The ring pins that are set into both the upper and the lower grooves for the rings open ends to sit against are made of a dissimillar metal than the aluminum piston and are kept cooler on the intake side which is not anywhere near as hot as the exhaust side so heat expansion and contraction should not be an issue in dislodging them.

If it were mine, I would...310 miles worth of breakin on 20:1, 2 cycle conventional oil.
Well I was going to do That but the thing just wanted to go I couldn't get it to go slow for the life of me it was like there was no half throttle there was just go and she ran beautifully allthough the front tire did pop on me but that was cause of the speed and the dry rot.. But as I was going through town they have a speed trap with one of those things that read your speed I was doing 42 when I vmcame through with not even all throttle and when I left I did all throttle and she did 54 mph. That's craaazzzzyyy... But she does... She does run amazingly. I honestly think she had more in her and could have gone faster

Now is there a muffler I can get for her that is quiet as possible...?? Any recommendations I have a welder so I could make one but I'm not sure how.

I will tell you what I tell everyone else, the exhaust system on the Phantom is designed specifically for the Phantom.

One of the best ways I know of to screw up how great your Phantom is running right now is to screw around with the exhaust system that was designed for it...Especially if you know just enough to be dangerous and do not know a thing about how to tune a pipe to a motor.

I triple dog dare you to do it...lol...lol.

Now Damien.. Why is this? And I have had a different muffler on this engine before in fact the same one but altered - not much and it ran ok. I'm not saying I can do it and have no negative out come, but can you help me figure out what exactly it does so I dont get this and have wasted my time and money
