I was going to introduce myself before posting but I really need help right now. I have my motor all set up and I want so badly to just ride my bike already. I bought a new 100cc but I broke the head off one of the bolts where the muffler is supposed to go and I can't find anyone to help me take it out so it's just sitting there not being used because it's too loud without a muffler. So I rebuilt my 80cc motor and had it working. My clutch ate the inner thigh of my pants(embarrassing) and the clutch stopped working. The clutch didn't look any different than when I put it in but I tore it apart and reassembled it anyway and put it on the bike and she started right up and I rode her around a little bit. I stupidly forgot the locking bolt on the pressure plate and my clutch loosened but kept running til I got home. When I tried to ride her later she wouldn't start and I realized what I did and went and tightened it back up, tried to start her up and when I released the clutch lever...nothing. When I'm walking the bike it disengages, but when I'm pedaling it won't disengage. I took the clutch apart and put it back together and same thing. Could the spring on the clutch shaft be too tight or to loose and cause this problem? If not what else could it be?

Hi Niki,

Clutch probably needs to be adjusted from scratch.

Here is my clutch adjusting tutorial that brings you through each and every step from beginning to end and might help out your problem.

As far as the broken head off the exhaust bolt, your going to need to extract it with an "Easy Out" and then from there you would need to use a thread chaser and rethread the hole at a minumum, or you may have to use a heli-coil to fix that.

I read this on the other forum just a little bit ago lol. Pull both covers off and take some pictures. Last get a few of the bucking bar in the chain side cover

The OP broke a head off the exhaust bolt.

The thing to do is grind the left over bolt off flat, drill a hole in the end of the bolt and get an easy out to get it out of the cylinder.

Yes I did break the bolt but I am not trying to get it out. I've tried to extract three bolts in the last 5 years(I only started riding a pedal bike 5 yrs ago), and it never went well. The last one was the same bolt as this time. I ended up finally drilling with a bit that was a bit smaller than the bolt and somehow managed to go in perfect so I could just see the threads but didn't destroy any of the threads and then went in and cleaned out all the threads with a tiny screwdriver. It took so long. NOT doing that again. What made it worse that time was I told my ex I fixed it and he could put the cylinder head back on if he wanted to and left and came home to a huge hole iny cylinder head. Apparently he didn't hear me tell him I fixed it and he decided to tap it and kept f'ing it up. So the post is actually about my clutch issue in my motor I just rebuilt.
