Hey all.im looking for some advice.im mainly looking to tune my bike,it's four stroking and runs rough.
Here is what I'm working with
Avenger 85 (professionally ported)
Pwk 21
35 mm smolik intake
Mz65 exhaust (a real one)
Smolik CNC head

The jets are a 32 and a 100. (I'm really new at this and I'm not sure which is the pilot and which is the main)

I tried the last two (leaner side) notches on my needle

I'm not looking for speed ,just reliability and power.id be really happy with a smooth and powerful 30-35mph

I can provide pics if necessary
Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

To get a good idea of what you are working with and what direction you need to go refer to these charts. I think part of your issue might be the MZ65. The avenger has a much larger exhaust port than most engines the MZ65 is designed for, and that could be harming your performance rather than helping.

I got the mz65 that is specifically made for the avenger from gomax industries.
I'm heading home now,I'll check the plug after it cools.
I've just been taking it out of short trips.
I probably should have mentioned I'm still in the break-in phase.
And I read a few other posts and realize I should have left everything stock until I was done breaking it in, I am aware of my mistake, but like I said, top end speed is not my goal, I just need consistent power

Check for air leaks. Ive been battling them non stop with my A85. If top end is not the goal, you may benefit from a smaller carb. Maybe try the stock carb until it runs how you'd like, just to make sure it will and to do some break in. I was able to hit 40 with the stock carb and 36 tooth sprocket on the first run before it blew the crank seals/cylinder casting.

Unfortunately I don't have a stock....I also don't have anything that will fit my intake.
I bought it ported and it has a huge intake.
Could it come down to dialing in the air/fuel screw and idle screw?
Is there a specific way to do that?
(I'm currently waiting for my engine to cool so I can read the plug)

I just noticed something, there is definitely fuel coming out of a lower nipple on this carb... Should I get a fuel line and connect the two that are open?

That is for sure aimed more for top rpm.
Yes it could but those are aimed for low rpm tuning. That power jet may be dumping too much fuel in. There are plenty of vids on YouTube showing how to tune those carbs. It may take a while to get it perfect.

No, I believe the lower one is a drain and the upper is a vent. I like to run a filter on the vent but that won't solve your tuning. Make sure the drain valve is tight. That won't solve your tuning either but is good not to leak. The lower one may also be an overflow. Maybe your floats are too high. Check out youtube.
