I took the plunge, BD-36 on the way

I ordered a BD-36 kit from WeRElectrified Thursday.

I know i'll hate the big heavy sealed lead-acid batteries so i'm already looking for inexpensive NiMH options. I also know i'll hate the thumb throttle because my bike has thumb shifters but i'll deal with it till I find a good twist throttle. That's not too big of an issue. I just want to get on the road ASAP. I'll sort the minor issues and tweak everything as an ongoing experiment.

Stay tuned to this frequency for news and pictures of the installation and my first ride.

:D

I have been riding this thing for a week. I like it a lot. You'd be stupid to not own one. Its that simple.

I just put the thumb throttle on and hooked it up. Its better for me to learn to use it. Learning is never bad. The world does not revolve around me.

The thumb throttle works fine so far, i've adapted. I just reach over with my index finger to shift gears. For downshifting, my thumb is already off the throttle no different than riding an un-powered bike.

I fear the day I can't learn new tricks.
