and I'm trying to follow the rules of the forum master. I've motorized bikes from scratch but never had a really reliable machine. I've just about settled on just buying a good kit if I can find the right one. My main concern, as you can see in my posts, is the hub that mounts to spokes. I feel this one thing is the weakest link in all the bike engine kits and I hope it improves. I want good, reliable quality from the start and am willing to pay for it if reasonable. Money doesn't grow on trees.

Welcome Chuck. I'm with you on hub/sprocket mounting being a weak point on most kits. There are several ideas floating in threads on this site and a couple of commercial solutions out there that should work.

Welcome to MBc.Have a look at LIVEFASTMOTORS.COM clam shell sprocket adapters. They work real good, but you have to use there sprockets.
