I haven't bought a kit but was curious which was better 2 stroke or 4? Looking for something reliable and fairly fast.

fast and reliable isn't something you're going to get out of any kit. pick one of them or throw together your own setup with a denardis engine and moped hubs

you failed the mention the most important bit! how much money are you willing to spend? the cheapest option that will give speed and reliability is a 4 stroke with a shift kit ,most expensive is obviously custom building everything with many options in between.
